Oh man, next week we say goodbye to Jaime after more than two years of working with her. She's coached many new runners and seasoned runners, plus fit countless people with good shoes and great advice. We're very excited for her though as she gets to do her work in a full time position! Below is a good bye note from Jaime, plus a couple of opportunities to say good bye. - Andrea
Hi Fleet Feet Family,
After 2 years and 3 months, my days as a Fleet Feet staff member are coming to an end. This job has been more than a job for me, it's been my community, my friends, my Fleet Feet Family! From the beginning, the values and mission of Fleet Feet Seattle have been in line with mine: fitness and wellness for ALL.
It's fitting that my next step will be dedicating more time to doing case management and outreach to older adults in SE Seattle.
As a way to celebrate my transition, I'm gonna party AND support a cause! So I'm asking folks to join my team for Beat the Bridge which supports Type 1 Diabetes. This cause in near and dear to my heart. My older sister has been living with Type 1 for 18 years. If you can't join me for the race, please consider donating to our team
So you have two opportunities to party with me. Firstly, I'll be kicking it at the Pint Striders
run to collect donations for Beat the Bridge on 5/14 Thurs 6 pm at Flying Lion Brewery. Make your donation easy and bring cash (even a little helps!). AND run with me at Beat the Bridge
on May 17th for an 8k run.
