Last month we added a new area to our store, the lending library. While some of the books are Brian's, the vast majority of them are John's. There are currently 111 different books available for your running reading pleasure.
It currently spans from Jogging: A Physical Fitness Program for All Ages published August 1967 to the most recent addition of The 1929 Bunion Derby: Johnny Salo and the Great Footrace Across America published March 2014. There are so many gems, it's hard to decide what to pick up first.
Some other titles that caught my attention:
Running for health and beauty: A complete guide for women (1977)
Diary of a jogging housewife (1978)
Joy of Running (1978)
On the Run from Dogs and People (1979)
Thirty Phone Booths to Boston (1987)
The Runner's Literary Companion: Great Stories and Poems About Running (1996)
So how does it work? Come to the library, pick a book, take it home, read it, and bring it back. Easy. We'd love to hear what you thought of it once you return it, but that's not required. :)
A big big BIG thank you to John, for sharing his treasured collection with our entire community.
